The focus of this class is building skills in contemporary floorwork. Students will explore being grounded both in approach to contemporary movement & in floorwork. This course will approach movement from a somatic perspective working with or against natural forces of gravity, momentum and friction. Students will learn about initiation of points of the body, weight shifting, isolations, movement qualities and rhythm to name a few. This course is open to all levels and students will have the opportunity to opt into more advanced variations of movement in class.
