3D Workshop   Apr 7- May 26   San Francisco

The 3D repertory and performance workshop will allow students to cultivate a wide range of the Push Dance Company movement vocabulary derived from sources including but not limited to post-modern practices using ballet, modern, structured improvisation and contemporary. Students who wish to perform will bring their technical toolbox to participate in a dynamic creative process and to perform in a 3D multimedia premiere over the 2012 Memorial Day Weekend. This modern workshop increases the curiosity for collaboration, while building kinesthetic awareness to site-specific and multimedia performance.

Mixed Messages is a new work by Push Dance Company and 3rd St Youth Center & Clinic; commissioned by San Francisco Arts Commission: inspired by the term “mixed” which is just short of slang for someone who comes from one or more racial or ethnic backgrounds. It is an all-inclusive event that highlights the vibrant diversity of the Multiracial community.
